Wes Welker ruled out for Sunday's game against the Raiders - Broncos injury report

To most people, this seemed like the correct course of action all along.  Especially with both concussions occurring within three weeks of each other.  There might be some question as to whether or not Wes will play at all the rest of the season, but as Rapoport noted he finally returned to practice this week.

The Broncos have already locked up a first round bye meaning the next game Wes could play would be January 11th or 12th.  That gives Wes a couple of more weeks to recuperate.

Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, and Bubba Caldwell have all stepped up in his absence.  Expect the Broncos to use a combination of Decker and Tamme in the slot against the Raiders.  Last week Decker was targeted 10 times in the slot and caught 6 passes.
