Here are today's events:
- Baltimore was eliminated when they lost to Cincinnati
- Miami was eliminated when they lost to New York
- Pittsburgh was eliminated when the Chargers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime.
Speaking of the Kansas City/San Diego game, the Chargers came out absolutely flat. In fact they should have and would have lost against the Chiefs scrubs had Mr. Irrelevant Ryan Succop not derped a game-winning field goal attempt wide right. As it stands, here are your seeds and wild card matchups.
#1 Seed: Denver Broncos (13-3)
The Broncos will be off next week as they earned the top record in the AFC and therefore homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. The road to the Super Bowl in the AFC will come through Denver.
#2 Seed: New England Patriots (12-4)
New England secured their 1st round bye with a victory over Buffalo. They will also host a home playoff game in the divisional round.
#3 Seed: Cincinnati Bengals (11-5)
Needed a Patriot loss to leapfrog into the #2 position, but finished the season with a dominating defensive performance against the Baltimore Ravens.
#4 Seed: Indianapolis Colts (11-5)
Were locked into the #3 or #4 seed coming into the week.
#5 Seed: Kansas City Chiefs (11-5)
Were locked into the #5 seed coming into the week.
#6 Seed: San Diego Chargers (9-7)
They sure tried their best to choke that one away.
