2013 NFL Free Agency open thread: Day 2 part Deux

There has been an orange smoke sighting from Dove Valley....

Andy Lyons

So far today the Broncos have signed LB Steward Bradley. Nice one year prove it deal that will push the youngsters in the middle and hopefully kick Joe Mays and his bloated contract out the door. The biggest news however has been the back and forth all day about WR Wes Welker. As of now, it is reported that the Broncos have offered him 4 years 35-36 million. Welker has also reportedly taken that offer back to the Patriots to see if they will match it.

Personally, I think it's too much cheddar BUT we really don't know the situation behind the scenes or what Elway and co. have in plan in order to free up this money. Depending on how they structure it, could be no big deal to the cap. I'm ok if it doesn't happen as well, but if it did, the Broncos get stronger and the Pats get weaker simultaneously. Stay tuned to see what happens!

EDIT: Deal is done....Welkah is a Bronco! From the Duke himself

In other news DRC is in the building and so was DT Terrance Knighton. Could be a very big day and nice FA haul for the Broncos!
