MHR Staff Off-the-Snap: Pete Baron

Mile High Report has an infusion of staff and readers following the merger with BroncoTalk, so we're publishing a quick bio of each staff member, new and old. We're also asking each staff member to talk about the favorite piece they've ever written in their Denver Broncos blogging career! Enjoy.

Big Pete

Name: Big Pete (Pete Baron)

BT Staffer since: November 2012

Bio: Hi guys, My name is Pete, and I'm a Broncoaholic.

I was born in Anaheim California but had a bunch of family in Colorado, so I naturally grew up as a displaced Broncos fan. In 1984, I moved to Colorado (or more accurately, my parents moved and took me with them), and have been a die hard Bronco fan ever since. To say I bleed orange and blue would be a complete understatement. I'm a vet (Navy), and a recent graduate from Regis University with an Accounting degree. I have a ridiculous Jeep I love taking in the mountains. I love camping, watching games, Jeeping, StarCraft 2, weight lifting, and sharing my opinions on pretty much all things. You'll all quickly know me as the guy who writes opinion articles. I tend to take the pulse of the Broncos community and run with it. I try to have fun with all my articles, and I am more than happy to enter into lively banter and to be proved completely wrong (half the time I really hope I'm wrong when I write opinion pieces). I'm the eternal Broncos optimist who believes we'll go 19-0 every year. I have a beautiful wife and 2 gorgeous twin 7 year old girls. I just wanted to say Hi and that I've been a member here for 4 or 5 years, so it's really exciting to be an official writer for this wonderful site. Thanks for the well wishes, and lets have some fun, but more importantly, GO BRONCOS!!!

Favorite Post: What I'm sick of hearing about [MHR]
It's my favorite because that was a time of crazy change and high emotions. While I have written stuff that I like more, I think this one is more memorable because of the time that it was written. We had just fired our "Coach for life" in Shanahan and jettisoned out our "franchise QB" in favor of a career backup. It was a confusing and scary time as a Broncos fan, so this piece sticks out to me because it helped me cope with Cutler being traded (and also because I wrote it while I was in the airport flying back home to my beautiful wife and kids).

Let's give Big Pete a Big Welcome, eh Mile High Report?!
