2013 NFL Draft: Broncos trade 4th rounder to Packers, who take RB Johnathan Franklin

The Denver Broncos have traded the 125th overall pick to the Green Bay Packers for 5th and 6th round choices.

The Denver Broncos have traded their 4th round choice -- the 125th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft -- to the Green Bay Packers. In return, they received 5th and 6th round draft choices from the Packers.

The Green Bay Packers used the pick to select RB Johnathan Franklin, a great value pick in my book, and someone whose stock was seemingly rising as the draft approached.

I generally like the value of the 4th round pick for the 5th and 6th the Broncos received, but knowing that pick went to a team that selected a running back I was high on is tough to swallow. Drafting Eddie Lacy didn't stop the Packers from drafting Johnathan Franklin anyway; why should drafting Montee Ball have prevented the Broncos from doing the same?

The Broncos got their seven draft picks back with this move, so I'm a fan, but the Broncos and I aren't seeing eye-to-eye when it comes to value picks in this draft.
