Shaun Phillips was once the sworn enemy of the Denver Broncos in the Josh McDaniels era, now that McDaniels has become the sworn enemy of everyone in Denver, Phillips has joined the Broncos.
Thank you sd for the 9 great years. Time for a new chapter I couldn't be happier.

Phillips (31) had 9.5 sacks last season and last made the Pro Bowl in 2010, has 69.5 career sacks, six interceptions, 19 forced fumbles, 40 pass defensed, five defensive touchdowns, 359 solo tackles and 477 total tackles.
Although Phillips was not the highest regarded player by Denver in their rivalry with the San Diego Chargers, he does fill a need that the team was very high on amping up.
Phillips adds to an already abundance of talent at the defensive line on the Broncos.
Denver also drafted defensive end Quanterus Smith in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL draft to aid in their efforts of making quarterbacks lives miserable. Some fans were hoping for Dwight Freeney or John Abraham, well at least one former Broncos player has weighed in through experience:
shaun phillips much better pass rush option than freeney
