We've updated our 2013 Denver Broncos Mock Draft Database, increasing the total number of mocks from 20 to 30 in our database. The increase also helped us hone in on an upper tier of draft prospects that interested parties think John Elway and John Fox might just be interested in taking in the first round.
The top player on the board is defensive end Cornellius Carradine out of Florida State. Tank would certainly bolster the position after the sudden departure of Elvis Dumervil a few weeks ago. Another contender from that position group is DaMontre Moore and Datone Jones.
All mocks sent defensive players to the Denver Broncos in the 2013 NFL Draft, which should at least give us a clue as to where the pick will likely go. Desmond Trufant at cornerback and Manti Te'o are both in the running for that number one pick as well.
Total Counts (4/3/13):
Position | # |
Defensive End | 12 |

Inside Linebacker | 3 |

Player | # |
Tank Carradine | 4 |
Desmond Trufant | 3 |
DaMontre Moore | 3 |
Datone Jones | 2 |
Manti Te'o | 2 |
Johnathan Hankins | 2 |
Jesse Williams | 2 |
Bjoern Werner | 2 |
Darius Slay | 2 |
Johnthan Banks | 1 |
Johnathan Cyprien | 1 |
Kawann Short | 1 |
John Jenkins | 1 |

Sam Montgomery | 1 |
Kenny Vaccaro | 1 |
I still like Manti Te'o, but if I were to be truly honest with myself, I'd like any defensive player in the first round other than at the tackle position. This draft is incredibly strong at defensive end and cornerback, so even if the Broncos go in a different direction at #28, they will still likely snag top tier talent when they get up for their selection in the second around.
Anyone not listed on this board still that you think should be?
Go Broncos!
