Denver Broncos sign C Dan Koppen

Update 11:50 a.m. MT - The Broncos announced the signing, making it official.

With all the news and speculation on what the Broncos would do to address the hole at center, reports from twitter state that they will kick the tires on veteran Dan Koppen:

There goes speculation that the Broncos could be looking to Chris Kuper or my thoughts that Beadles can be used to fill the void left by J.D. Walton's injury.

Koppen played 13 games as the Broncos starting center last year including their playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He clearly was the best FA option available and already has familiarity and experience in our offense.
