According to Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe, Aaron Hernandez threatened current Broncos WR Wes Welker as a rookie:
It didn’t take long for Hernandez’s quick temper to be revealed at Gillette Stadium. According to an NFL source, within days of being drafted, Hernandez was at the team facility trying to watch film.
When he couldn’t figure out how to use the equipment, he asked how it worked, but got no answer. When Wes Welker walked by the room, Hernandez asked for his help, but Welker said, "Rookie, you figure it out."
Hernandez responded with expletives.
Now, doesn't seem all that bad right? A vet giving rookie a hard time and the rookie responding with basically "go f!#$ yourself". Wrong...
re Welker/Hernandez interaction frm story: Hernandez's response was "f--- you Wes, I'll f--- you up!" (Globe is family friendly paper ;)

Hernandez had many red flags entering the 2010 draft. He had failed several drug tests--serving a one game suspension as a result and was questioned for a shooting outside a nightclub. One scouts' evaluation said of Hernandez "Self-esteem is quite low; not well adjusted emotionally, not happy, moods unpredictable, not stable, doesn't take much to set him off, but not an especially jumpy guy."
Well Wes, glad you're in Denver. I doubt Montee Ball or Sylvester Williams will give you the same sort of disrespect that Hernandez did. Hopefully Brady knows how to catch the ball too, he's not going to have a lot of folks to throw to in 2013. But I forgot he's the GOAT and invented the forward pass.
And some friendly advice to Aaron Hernandez: prison is filled with tough guys who have anger issues, don't drop the soap!
