According to ESPN's Adam Schefter:
Broncos LB Von Miller is facing 4-game suspension for violating NFL policy, per ESPN sources. Case currently in appeals process.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) July 22, 2013
The suspension is currently being appealed. Early speculation is that it could be marijuana related, again this is just suspicion, a drug offense is not confirmed.
#Broncos are aware of @AdamSchefter's report about possible suspension for Von Miller but team has no comment at this time.

Marijuana possession/consumption is not a punishable in the state of Colorado, but under NFL rules consumption is a punishable offense no matter what state the player lives in.
If Von Miller's suspension is held up, his first game will be October 6th at the Dallas Cowboys.
We will have more on this as more becomes apparent.
UPDATE (10:00 AM MTN):
Apparently it is not just marijuana:
.@PJSkelly @dmac1043 It is indeed weed and one other recreational drug.
— Vic Lombardi (@VicLombardi) July 22, 2013
And that other substance? It looks like it may be the drug known as molly according to Denver's 104.3 Broncos' insider Brandon Krisztal. We have more on the possible molly claim here.
As I said on @SportsCenter, a source close to Von that I trust said he was busted for both weed & "Molly" a form of MDMA

No dates for Von Miller’s appeal of his four-game suspension have been set yet. Still being worked out.
