After the Denver Broncos made two more roster moves to get down to the league-mandated 75-player roster limit Tuesday, some have wondered whether other injuries could influence Denver's reasoning behind the 22 subsequent roster moves to come.
For the most part, that isn't the case. The remaining players injured on the Broncos are mostly safe from being placed on a Waived/Injured list, with a few exceptions - running back C.J. Anderson representing the biggest exception. His knee injury is such that the Broncos will likely have to wait a few more weeks to get a grasp on his status for the season.
Stewart Bradley's status may also be in limbo, along with Chris Kuper, though Kuper renegotiated his contract to have a better chance at making the roster.
After impressing in Denver's first preseason game, many believe C.J. Anderson has a chance at making the roster. Still, he could go the way of Greg Orton - a talented player the Broncos decide to try and keep on their roster for 2014 via the Waived/Injured list, but whose injury does not necessarily dictate a season-ending status. The Broncos are reportedly negotiating an injury settlement with Orton.
It'll be interesting to see if C.J. Anderson makes the roster. I think the Broncos should try and stash the rookie on the practice squad. What do you all think?
