Denver Broncos Countdown to Kickoff: Chris Harris Jr. - 9 Days

Chucka-luck luckin' down da seam, keepin' fools in check representin' my team. I may become the first "written-only" rapper in history mofo's. Up next we had a tizzle between Chris Harris Jr. and Wes Welker. Kyle Montgomery invoked the "2-Pac power" he has as editor in chief and today we bring you the most happenin' cat lockin' down the slot in Chris Harris Jr.

Here's my Godfather II moment to Jon Heath who left Chris Harris Jr. off his list:

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!! Chris Harris is a STUD. He's #7 on my list. He's arguably the best CB on our team, and yes, I haven't forgotten that we still have Champ and DRC. Harris will stick to anyone like glue and has great hands for a cornerback. He blew up the scene last year and finally gets national recognition. Without Champ 100%, he will be leaned on quite heavily as we open the season. As Harris and DRC go, so too will our defense!

Wes Welker came in at #19 for me, but after I just drafted him last night, I'm willing to put him higher ;) He's a reception machine, and Manning appears to like throwing to him. If he's in open space, look out! I think he'll crack 1,300 yards and about 15 TDs this year, and yes, I'm official bias towards him!

Kyle "Arizona Love" Montgomery

Chris Harris might be the most underrated player in the NFL. He is certainly the most underrated player on the, outside the city of Denver. But those in the know, know - this guy can play. He is completely justified in earning honors as 2012's 64th best player in the NFL overall by Pro Football Focus. A monster in the slot, Harris can also start as a #2 (and presumably #1) cornerback in a pinch. That versatility and talent is extremely valuable to the Broncos; what a diamond in the rough this kid is.

Bronco "Swag Juice" Mike

The Broncos have a rich history of UDFA rookies turning the league on it's concussed-head. What's beautiful about Chris Harris Jr. is that he is a lockdown corner on the inside. Not only that, but the cat can play on the outside in a pinch. I've only seen the great Wes Welker get the best of him during his short tenure in the league, but make no mistake, Harris Jr. is Denver's 2nd most important defensive back on the entire team. Whoever you want to put at #1 right now whether it be the great Champ Bailey or the freakishly talented Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Harris Jr. and his ability to man up the slot provides Jack Del Rio with the ability to play man free all day long. Keep it up youngblood, Denver Broncos for life!!!
