* Over the first three rounds of the draft (10 picks) Elway and the Broncos have netted 7 starters
Phillip Blake isn't a huge surprise as being waived. He has failed to live up to expectations and this past offseason was converted to the Guard position. His terrible play during the preseason will likely mean that Blake will clear waivers. At that point he can be claimed and placed on the Denver Broncos Practice Squad.
Time is ticking for the Canadian born lineman. He is currently 27 years old and will turn 28 in October. Blake was drafted with the pick the Broncos received for trading QB Tim Tebow to the New York Jets last year. Tim Tebow was cut earlier today by the New England Patriots.
Mile High Report will keep you updated with the current news regarding "Cut Day" as news becomes available.
GO BRONCOS!!!
