Both Brady and Manning started off with loses against the Silver and Black, Peyton even lost two in a row.  Those were Gruden's Raiders however and we all know the Raiders lost their balls as soon as Al traded them away to the Bucs.

For Brady, his greatest victory would have come in the 16-13 playoff victory remembered for "The Tuck Rule".  It looked as if Brady and fumbled the ball late in the game to all but seal a Raider victory and berth in the 2002 AFC Championship Game, but alas the luck of the Irish smiled on New England that snowy night and decreed the play was an incomplete pass and not a fumble.  Brady and co. channeled that moment into their very first world championship as a franchise.

For Peyton Manning, (well for me at least) my all time favorite memory of one of his victories against the Raiders included one of the smartest plays of his career time:

Peyton Manning NEVER runs right?  No threat to take it off end on a bootleg right? Wrong.  While it may have been the slowest 30-yard dash I've ever seen, it got the job done and he Colts were able to kill the clock.

Well, you know what they say---the past is the past and why not ignore the past by talking about the more recent past.

So while Peyton has looked very Peytonesque to start the season, Brady as looked rather Tebowesque in his start.  I mean 48.1% passing the ball last week Tommy Boy--Really?

I mean you're Tom MF Brady.  High heels throw themselves at you as you walk down the women's clothing isle when shopping for a new pair of Uggs.  Metrosexual stylistas everywhere are looking to you for all the new catchy trends.  You can't lose your cool because remember, you made a career throwing to a bunch of nobodies.  Tom Brady is singlehandedly responsible for inventing the forward pass; before you came on the scene and blew us away with your girl-lishly good looks, we had to watch hacks like Elway, Young, Montana, Marino, Favre sling the rock on Sundays.

You may have a sack of potatoes to go along with Billy Hoyle to throw the ball to, but drops aside I hear that folks get more mean and abrasive as they age.  So while many think it was frustration that caused you to lose your temper and yell at your receivers, I think it was simply a case of you showing your age.

Next time you chew them out Tommy Slice, make sure to include "GET OFF MY LAWN" at the end of whatever you say...
