The Philadelphia Eagles, to me, are not as good as the media is trying to portray. They have the best rushing offense in the league, which does make me feel good since the Broncos without Von Miller shut it down fairly effectively, but they should get bounced fairly quickly in these playoffs.

That said, I'm actually taking the Eagles today based on a single factor - the weather. It is going to be cold. It is going to be icy. It is going to be miserably windy. All of these things will crush Drew Brees and his pass-happy offense. I will be shocked if this game is even close.

I would be remiss if I did not mention one potential possibility that I think is actually the most likely outcome in the NFC, its an outcome that will make my comments in the first paragraph seem fairly stupid. But I don't mind coming off as stupid, so here it goes. If the Eagles win today and the San Francisco 49ers win tomorrow, then the Eagles would be travelling to the Carolina Panthers next week. It just so happens I believe the Eagles would likely beat that team and end up in the NFC Championship game. If that happens, well, so much for my "get bounced fairly quickly" comment!

Sometimes I hate predicting things ... too easy to contradict yourself. Blah, whatever... Enjoy the game Broncos fans!
