With that victory, the bracket in the AFC is now set for the Divisional Round. As the #1 seed the Denver Broncos will host the #6 seed Chargers while the #2 seed Patriots will host the #4 seed Colts. This will mark the third time this season the Broncos will face off against the Chargers. Both teams split the season series 1-1. San Diego came into Denver late in the season and dominated the Broncos on a Thursday night. With a ball control offense that kept the ball from the Broncos for all but 20 minutes of the game and a defensive effort that held the most prolific offense in the NFL to 20 points, Rivers and company were the first team to really dominate and dictate the game.

It is a rarity for teams to face each other three times in a season. The Chargers played uninspired in the season finale against Kansas City's JV team and have ran hot and cold all year. They are a hard team to peg and you truly never know what you are going to face on any given Sunday. That being said the Broncos will have to be on top of their game to come away with a victory.
Historically, Peyton Manning's teams have struggled against the Chargers in the playoffs with an overall record of 0-2. Since Manning joined the AFC West, the Chargers have given the Broncos the best competition out of any AFC West foe. Despite a 3-1 record, each game has been a grind. Lifetime Phillip Rivers is 6-2 playing Denver in the Mile High City.
