It wasn't Denver Broncos linebacker Danny Trevathan's first day back at practice Wednesday, but it was his first practice during a Wednesday-Friday game preparation that saw him participate fully since injuring his leg in training camp.
How good was it to see Danny Trevathan back out on the practice field Wednesday? Let's go around the locker room!
"He looked real good. He looked good Monday as well so it's good to have him back." - John Fox
Must Reads
Must Reads
"Oh yeah. To have Danny back, he's just another pit bull out there that we need and a guy that knows the whole defense already so he doesn't have to think a lot. He can just play fast. I see Danny just fitting right back in." - Chris Harris Jr.
"In his absence, a lot of guys had to step up-myself included-but with him coming back, that just makes the team better. We're able to plug in different players in different places and to pick up right where we left off." - Nate Irving
"It feels good to have the guys out there that you planned on starting the season with-the projected starters, the first 11. But right now we have so many guys on defense who play a big role with [DE] Malik Jackson and [CB Bradley] Roby and guys that play a lot of football, and now [LB] Brandon Marshall. So we have, I consider, about 15-16 starters on our defense that play at a high level. Regardless of who's in there, we want to play fast and physical. Obviously having Danny back, that makes your defense better and allows you to play faster and physical because that's the mentality he brings to the group." - Terrance Knighton
So, pretty good then.
From the opponent's perspective, Wednesday brought less positive news. QB Carson Palmer was excused from practice to see a specialist regarding his shoulder, and it's now looking doubtful he will play Sunday.
