October 17th, 2010 Demaryius Thomas beats Darrelle Revis

Thomas' one and only catch on the day came on the sideline working against Darrelle Revis. He pulled in a high pass from Kyle Orton in the endzone to make the score 17-10 Denver. Unfortunately the Broncos could not hold the lead. Mark Sanchez threw up a prayer late in the game and S Renaldo Hill interfered giving the Jets a 1st and goal opportunity they converted into a game-winning touchdown.

November 30th, 2008 Jay Cutler outduels Brett Favre

In what would signal the beginning of the end of Brett Favre's run in Gang Green, Jay Cutler threw for 357 yards and hit Eddie Royal and Brandon Stokley on scoring strikes. Peyton Hillis added 129 more yards on the ground and the Broncos doubled up the Jets 34-17.

November 20th, 2005 Broncos pitch a shutout at home

The Broncos intercepted Vinny Testaverde twice and rode an efficient performance by Jake Plummer to a 27-0 win. Running back Mike Anderson carried the ball 26 times for 113 yards.

December 8th, 2002 Broncos fall to Jets in Meadowlands

Chad Pennington went 19-30 for 244 yards and a TD pass to Laveranues Coles on a cold and frigid December afternoon. Curtis Martin was held largely in check.  This was a back and forth game that saw the Jets retake the lead for good in the 4th quarter and seal the deal with a FG with about 6 minutes left in the game.  Jets win 19-13.

November 5th, 2000 Broncos win a shootout

After surging to a 17-0 lead with an Eddy McCaffrey TD reception and a Terrell Davis TD run, the Broncos defense surrendered 20 unanswered to face a three point deficit going into the 4th quarter. After Brian Griese hit Eddy Mac on a long 47 yard TD pass late in the 4th, the Broncos held on to win 30-23.

October 3rd, 1999 Terrell Davis' career is forever changed

Late in the 1st quarter, Brian Griese threw an interception.  While the players were trying to run and make the tackle, Matt Lepsis rolled into Terrell Davis' right knee tearing his ACL and MCL.  The Jets won the game, Davis missed the rest of the season. After that point TD played in 13 more games in 2000 and 2001 before deciding to retire during the 2002 preseason.

January 17th, 1999 John Elway finishes career in Denver a winner, Broncos advance to Super Bowl XXXIII

There was so much build coming into this game. Everyone knew by now that this is probably John Elway's last hurrah in a Broncos uniform. The day itself was turbulent. The winds swirled around the old Mile High making kicking impossible. The Broncos missed out on points by turning the ball over on downs on the Jet 1 yard line late in the 1st quarter. After trading drives and punts the rest of the 1st half, John Hal nailed a 32 yard field go to give the Jets a 3-0 lead heading into halftime.

After halftime, the Jets blocked a Rouen punt deep in Broncos territory and punched the ball into the endzone for a 10-0 lead.  From there, Mile High Magic took over. On the ensuing drive, Elway found Eddy Mac deep for a 47 yard game, and then hit Howard Griffith to make the game 10-7. Next, the Jets fumbled the kickoff and the Broncos tied the game at 10 with a Jason Elam 44 yard field goal.  The defense clamped down and the Broncos found their rhythm scoring an additional 13 points to end the game 23-10.  From 10-0 to 23-10 and AFC Champions.  Elway finished his final game at Mile High Stadium a winner, and took a victory lap with the Lamar Hunt Trophy as adoring fans watched on.

This is one of the last times I can remember the Broncos paining their endzones orange.
