The undefeated Arizona Cardinals. If it doesn't feel natural rolling off the tongue, check your instincts - the Cardinals are for real.
10-6 a year ago, Bruce Arians has maximized the talent on this roster and has not shied from playing aggressive football. His defense is blitz-happy, and his offense isn't afraid to throw downfield. Bolstered by a good rushing offense and a better rush defense, Arizona has taken down the San Diego Chargers, New York Giants, and San this year.
"They're fifth in the league in defense, second in scoring defense after three weeks," Broncos coach John Fox said. "You see big, physical [players], and they're very hard to run against. They have two as good of cover corners as there are in the league. They have the makings of a top-five defense. Regardless of the injuries, they're still being very productive."
"They are definitely very talented," wide receiver Wes Welker said. "They have a lot of speed back there, especially at the corner position with very athletic guys. And you have to be on top of your routes, making sure you're running good routes and understanding what they are trying to do coverage-wise and different things like that, and attack them the best you can and make sure you're going out there and making plays when you get your opportunity."
