Report: The Denver Broncos expect Peyton Manning to play at least one more year

NFL Networks Ian Rapoport reports that the Broncos expect Peyton Manning to stick around for one more year.

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

This morning NFL Networks Ian Rapoport reported that the Denver Broncos are expecting, and planning that future Hall Of Fame Quarterback Peyton Manning will play at least one more season for the Denver Broncos. According to Rapoport Manning wants to hold all the all-time records for a Quarterback. He will need to play one more season to be the top man in yards and wins.

However Rapoport does say that things could change if the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning end up winning the Super Bowl this season. He says that if Manning wins his second Lombardi Trophy that the could "walk into the sunset". We all know that Denver Broncos General Manager John Elway did the same after he won two Super Bowls in a row in the twilight of his career.

The Broncos do have Quarterback Brock Osweiler under contract through the 2015 season, however if Manning does end up playing one more year the Broncos will not have a Quarterback currently on the 53 man roster signed. So it will be interesting to see if the Broncos address the Quarterback position again this offseason.

I personally believe that Peyton Manning will play one more season. He'll be 39 years of age at the start of next years Training Camp, and will be coming of two of his best career seasons. If the Broncos do win the Super Bowl Manning will have a chance to end his Hall Of Fame career with two consecutive Super Bowls(Just like Elway), or have one last shot at winning on more ring. My money is on Manning playing one or two more years with the Denver Broncos.
