Julius Thomas' injury not as bad as initially feared

The latest on Julius Thomas, Emmanuel Sanders, and Montee Ball.

Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas' MRI Monday showed that Peyton Manning's favorite touchdown target in 2014 may not miss as much time as initially feared.

Thomas is "day-to-day", according to the Denver Post, which notes that it "may be difficult" for Thomas to play against the Miami Dolphins this week. Thomas was injured in the first quarter of Denver's 22-7 loss to the St. Louis Rams and did not return.

Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders (concussion) and Montee Ball (groin) were also injured in Sunday's loss. Reports seem to indicate that Ball's injury was the most significant of the bunch. Emmanuel Sanders, on Twitter, seemed to agree.

Even better news: he's not dead, as Wikipedia suggested.
