Tragedy has struck Broncos practice QB Zac Dysert Monday, whose mother  passed away in a car accident in Ohio.

From The Courier in Findlay, Ohio (via Mike Klis) -

One person is dead and another was injured at 8:42 a.m. today in a car crash near Ada.

Carla M. Dysert, 56, of Ada, was pronounced dead at the scene and James R. Britt, 30, of Ada, was injured in the crash, according to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash occurred when Britt, heading eastbound on Ohio 81, lost control of his 1994 Mazda and went over the center line and into the path of Dysert’s 2004 Buick SUV, which was headed west, according the sheriff’s office.

Dysert has been excused from practice and is headed to Ohio to be with his family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Zac and family at this time.
