Welcome to Week 9 of the 2014 NFL Regular Season. The week began on Thursday with the New Orleans Saints putting a beating on the Carolina Panthers to move into first place in the NFC South. The Denver Broncos play this afternoon, so let's review the early game action this morning.
Must Reads
If you are up-to-date on my NFL picks this week, then you know the biggest(most interesting) game in the early time slot is the one between the Arizona Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys. Although, it might be interesting to see how the Philadelphia Eagles match up against that Houston Texans defense.
In the AFC West, the San Diego Chargers travel to Florida to face the Miami Dolphins, while the Kansas City Chiefs play host to the woeful New York Jets. The outcome of either game will not change the first place standings in the AFC West whether the Broncos win or lose later in the day.
One SB Nation video suggested Rex Ryan is in the "hot seat". I wouldn't call coaching this Jets team being in a hot seat, unless that seat was an electric chair and you were being purposely executed by the Warden (e.g., the Jets GM). The dude should just retire and save himself the heartache this season will most certainly bring!
Who are you rooting for in these early games?
