Horse Tracks: Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots - 5 Bold Predictions

Happy gameday Broncos Country! A bold prediction is not a regular prediction. It is something that is less likely to occur during the course of the game. Here are my bold predictions for the Broncos visit to Foxboro, what are yours?

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The Broncos defense will hold the Patriot offense to under 300 total yards.

This has actually happened three times this season. The Vikings (292), Raiders (297), and Chiefs (290) all held the Patriots to under 300 yards this season, and they did it in a consecutive three game stretch from weeks 2-4. In 2013, the Brady-led offense finished with less than 300 yards four times.

The Denver Broncos will finish the game with a +3 turnover differential.

You have to go all the way back to week two of the 2013 against the New York Giants to find a game in which the Broncos finished +3 in the differential.  The Patriots have finished -3 once this season (week 4 Kansas City).

Peyton Manning will play a turnover free game.

In thirteen meetings against New England in Foxboro, Peyton Manning has never finished a game without turning the ball over at least once. In 2012 he got close. While Manning didn't throw an interception, he was strip sacked by Rob Ninkovich in a fumble that cost the Broncos a touchdown.

Rob Gronkowski will be held to less than 40 yards receiving without any touchdowns.

Since Gronk's rookie season where he failed to catch for more than 40 yards and a touchdown in a game on 7 different occasions, it has happened only 7 times since then.

The Broncos will win by two or more scores.

This has only happened twice in the past three seasons,Once in the 2012 AFC Championship game against the Ravens, and once against the Arizona Cardinals in week 2 of 2013.

Weather Forecast

There's a 90% of precipitation...I'm cool with a smashmouth defensive battle!
