Broncos Dolphins Injury Report: Sanders Probable, Thomas & Green Questionable

New, comments

The Denver Broncos are more beat up than they have been all season going into this Sunday's game with the Miami Dolphins. The good news is that it looks likely Sanders will play on Sunday.

The Broncos don't have to deal with a road trip this weekend for the first time in weeks, but they do have to deal with a variety of injuries.

Broncos new to the injury report

Emmanuel Sanders is working through the NFL concussion protocol this week and everything looks like it's heading in the right direction.

Julius Thomas seems to have dodged the dreaded high ankle sprain but he is still considered day to day. It was reported Friday that Julius Thomas had returned to practice on Friday but his participation was so limited that he was listed as an non-participant. It looks like Thomas will not play on Sunday to me.

Britton Colquitt also appeared on the injury report on Thursday for an illness. He returned to practice on Friday.

Repeat Broncos on the injury report

Montee Ball and Ronnie Hillman's injuries have not changed from last week. Both of them are not practicing and are not expected back right away.

Virgil Green is still on the injury report, but he looks like he's heading in the right direction recovery-wise. What started out as a calf injury that had Green limited in practice turned into a knee injury last week that kept him from participating in practice. This week Green's injury is back to being listed as a calf injury and he's back to being a limited participant. Cross your fingers Green can play this week Broncos Country!

Paul Cornick's shoulder injury seems to be doing better as he was a full participant in practice this week.

Quinton Carter (knee) and Ryan Clady (groin) were both limited in practice this week as they were last week.

Steven Johnson (ankle) and Juwan Thompson (knee) were both full participants in practice as they were last week. It's just a matter of time for these two to fall off the injury report.

Broncos off the injury report

The only Bronco player who managed to get off the injury report this week is Orlando Franklin who was on the report last week with a knee injury. This is obviously positive news as the O-line doesn't need injury distractions to add to their other well documented problems.

Odds and Ends

Miami Dolphins TE Charles Clay is dealing with both a knee and hamstring injury and will be a game-day decision on Sunday.
