With that glorious hard-fought road win over the San Diego Chargers, the Denver Broncos secure their fourth consecutive AFC West Division title and further solidify their historical dominance over this division. As great as the Oakland Raiders were in the 60s and 70s, the Denver Broncos once rising from those early doldrums have become the model of consistency and greatness in this AFC West Division. The proof is in the titles.

1. Denver Broncos 14
2. Oakland Raiders 12
3. San Diego Chargers 10
4. Kansas City Chiefs 6
5. Seattle Seahawks 2

There is no denying which team is the best in the west now. As bad as the Broncos were from 1960 to 1975, they have made up that lost ground and retaken control of the AFC West legacy. Here's to extending that division title lead in 2015! For now, let's celebrate and look towards adding a Lombardi Trophy to this franchise's accolades.

John Fox should be credited for this success as he moves past Mike Shanahan for most AFC West Division titles in his career and he needs one more to tie Dan Reeves for most division titles in Denver Broncos history. That's a distinct possibility, considering Fox started this amazing run on the legs of Tim Tebow in 2011.

Why should Fox get all the credit? Because he just led this franchise to its 12th consecutive divisional road win. A feat only matched by the San Francisco 49ers of the late 1980s. There's another reason though. John Fox also holds the second best mark with 10 consecutive divisional road wins while he was coaching the Carolina Panthers. That tells me it isn't just Peyton Manning doing the work here.

Speaking of Peyton Manning, he notched his 14th 4,000 yard passing season in his career. That mark is six more than the next closest quarterback. That's just disgusting. Washed up, my ass.

I am going to write about Harris out of order here, but you will see why in a moment. Before getting into Harris’ career, let’s get into the reason why Denver GM John Elway felt so compelled to enter the stalled negotiations with Harris—who would have commanded $10 million a year or more as a free agent after the season, most likely—in the past few days.
