- Despite the fact that the Broncos run the ball about 80% of the time with Virgil Green in the game, the playaction game is where most of the big passing plays downfield have come from. That's sort of the point. Try guessing when the pass is going to come and you'll be wrong 80% of the time. It trains the defense to react in one way.

- Chris Clark was used as the 2nd TE in the running game and logged snaps until Clady went down with an injury.

- The Broncos went to much more 11 personnel once Clady was injured. With Julius Thomas on a limited pitch count, it was the only way to approach the game without having to have greenhorn TE Jones playing a lot of snaps.

- When trying to put a number on Knighton's value, keep in mind that he only plays less than 50% of the snaps on defense. He's primarily in against base personnel and mostly to combat the run.

- With both WLB's out and our MLB situation down to Steven Johnson, I would expect to see more of Todd Davis, Lamin Barrow, and Corey Nelson. I will do a film study and observe exactly how the Broncos approached their sub packages with both Trevathan and Marshall out of the game.

- Broncos are also thin at safety with Quinton Carter now on IR. Good thing they have David Bruton playing well and can also call on Omar Bolden if necessary. This is only important when they go to nickel/dime when TJ Ward moves to play linebacker.
