Denver Broncos vs. Cincinnati Bengals Friday Injury Report: Manning limited again on Friday

Manning returns to practice today after being listed as limited in yesterday's practice but was once again listed as limited

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

Well a day after we received news that Peyton Manning left practice to receive treatment on his injured thigh he was back on the practice field Friday and was looking good according to reports. Even though he was back on the field and participating in drills Head Coach John Fox said that Manning was listed as limitied.

Manning will be good to go for the teams Monday Night showdown against the Cincinnati Bengals in what could be a potential playoff matchup in a few weeks.

Also returning to practice today was backup running back Juwan Thompson. He sat out Wednesday's portion of the practice, but returned to today's practice on a limited basis. The primary backup to starter C.J. Anderson should be able to go on Monday despite dealing with some hip and knee issues.

Tight End Jacob Tamme who sat out this past Sunday's game with a rib injury was full go today after being limited in yesterday's practice. This is a positive sign for Tamme. If he doesn't suffer any set backs in tomorrow's practice I expect him to be good to go on Monday Night.

The only two players who sat out today's practice were offensive tackle Paul Cornick and linebacker Brandon Marshall. Cornick is dealing with a toe injury, and Marshall is dealing with a mild foot sprain. Neither is likely to play on Monday night.

Other Notes:

  • Running back Ronnie Hillman is continuing to work his way back from a foot injury. He was a limited participant all last week, and all of this week thus far. I would think that Hillman would have to put in a full practice before the team activates him on Sunday.
  • Rookie receiver Cody Latimer passed his concussion test earlier in the week and has put in two full practices this week. Latimer is in no danger of missing this weekends game after sitting out the last two due to the concussion.
  • Tight End Julius Thomas is starting to closer to his old self according to reports. Thomas has been active the last two weeks, but the Broncos have been easing him back in. Look for the Broncos to start utilizing their red-zone weapon more in the coming weeks.
  • Offensive tackle Ryan Clady was limited again today, but should also be good to go on Monday Night.
