Unrestricted free agents
These players are free to sign with any team beginning Tuesday, March 11th at 2:00 p.m. MST. Broncos GM John Elway has said he will let his players hit the free agent market, but all would be welcome to return - at the right price.
Must Reads
- WR Eric Decker
- CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
- RB Knowshon Moreno
- LB Wesley Woodyard
- G Zane Beadles
- DE Robert Ayers
- S Mike Adams
- DE/OLB Shaun Phillips
- WR Andre Caldwell
- KR/PR Trindon Holliday*
- S Michael Huff
- DB Quentin Jammer
- T Winston Justice
- C Dan Koppen
- LB Paris Lenon
- C Steve Vallos
- DE Jeremy Mincey
- CB Marquice Cole
*Holliday is still technically an Exclusive Rights Free Agent, but the Broncos are not expected to make him a tender offer. This would make him an unrestricted free agent once free agency begins. The Broncos have until that time to change their mind and tender him.
Released players
These players have been released and can sign with any club now, even before the March 11th start of free agency.
- CB Champ Bailey
Restricted free agents
These players have received tender offers from the Broncos in the amount in parenthesis. Any NFL team can still negotiate a deal with these players; the Broncos have the right to match any offer sheet. If the Broncos don't, they'll receive the indicated draft pick in compensation.
- CB Chris Harris Jr. ($2.187M, 2nd round tender)
- DT Mitch Unrein ($1.31M, original pick tender)
Since Unrein was undrafted, the Broncos would not receive draft pick compensation should he be lost on the market. They should feel fairly protected with that tender offer, however.
Exclusive Rights Free Agents
These players aren't free agents at all, despite the name. They must sign their tender offers or forego their 2014 season in the NFL altogether.
- CB Tony Carter ($730K)
- S Duke Ihenacho ($570K)
- LB Brandon Marshall ($495K)
