Despite interest from DAL, source close to Wesley Woodyard told me his 1st trip is to NE, with another team visit planned after— Brandon Krisztal (@BKDenverSports) March 11, 2014
Woodyard has Pro Bowl potential when lining up at an outside linebacker position (check his 2012 season), but the switch to middle linebacker didn't jive with the Broncos' scheme in 2013, and he was benched. With Danny Trevathan's emergence in 2013, the Broncos don't have a position on the field that fits Woodyard's talents. Now the six-time team captain and three-time Broncos Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee will test free agency for the first time.
It appears the market is greeting him warmly, and it appears Wesley Woodyard has spent his last days in Denver.
