Report: Broncos, Ware may strike a deal "quickly"

D-Ware is in Denver, will he leave with a contract?

Jed Jacobsohn

Free-agent pass-rusher DeMarcus Ware has landed in Denver and is currently meeting with the Denver Broncos, presumably negotiating a contract. At least one report has surfaced saying that Ware will not leave Denver without a contract.

We believe it.

Reporters are already digging into the kind of deal Ware is looking for. CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora wrote the following moments ago:

Ware is best positioned right now. The Broncos had been in regular dialogue with Allen before Ware's release by the Cowboys on Tuesday. Ware might still be able to land north of $10M, according to some evaluators I have talked to, and the Broncos certainly showed Tuesday they are all-in for 2014 and trying to win now while they still have Peyton Manning at the top of his game. Ware is going there first on his visits for a reason, and this has the potential to come together quickly.

If these reports hold water, it seems that it will only be a matter of time before Ware officially agrees to terms with Denver, perhaps even this afternoon. Stay tuned.
