Manning to have scheduled neck exam Monday

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

ESPN's Jeff Legwold is reporting that Denver Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning is scheduled to take his offseason neck exam on Monday. Legwold also says that Manning has already passed the required exit physical given to all of the team’s players in the days after the Super Bowl loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Broncos and Manning expect this exam to run smoothly. Monday’s exam is part of his contract and the Broncos expect to hear Manning is ready to go for the 2014 season.

The medical exams were built into the contract when the Broncos signed Manning. In the deal his $20 million salaries in both 2013 and 2014 were guaranteed, but 2014 could be voided if Manning's neck became an issue this past season. Obviously coming off his historic 2013 season, and his record 5th MVP Award, Manning's neck looked just fine.

So rest easy Broncos Country, our Quarterback should pass his physical with flying colors, and be quarterbacking the Denver Broncos in 2014.

Go Broncos!
