Report: Knowshon Moreno signs a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins

Later Knowshon

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, former Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno has signed a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins. The deal is reportedly worth around 3 million dollars for Moreno per NFL Networks Ian Rapoport.

Moreno's only visit was to the Miami Dolphins, so this signing isn't shocking. Moreno will join a backfield with Daniel Thomas, and Lamar Miller, and will challenge for the starting job.

Both John Fox and John Elway said earlier this week that they haven't closed the door on Moreno returning to the Broncos, well obviously that door is now shut.

During Moreno's five-year career with the Broncos he totaled 3,468 yards rushing, and 26 touchdowns. He also caught 157 balls for 1,401 yards and totaled 9 touchdown receptions during his career with the Broncos.

Moreno had his career best year in 2013 totaling 1,038 yards rushing on 241 attempts, and getting into the end zone 10 times. He also caught 60 balls for 548 yards receving, and finding the end zone three times. Overall Moreno had over 1,500 total yards for the Broncos in 2013.

It's officially Montee Ball time in Denver. It will be interesting to see if the Broncos add some competition for Ball, C.J Anderson, and Ronnie Hillman either via Free Agency, or through the NFL Draft in early May. Some veterans who are still available are Maurice Jones-Drew, Chris Johnson, and LeGarrette Blount.

Good luck Knowshon(except against the Broncos)

Go Broncos!
