Get ready, football fans, it's about to be Christmas in April.

The NFL is preparing announce the complete 2014 schedule sometime this month. According to's Mike Florio, an announcement is planned to be made as early as Tuesday:

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the NFL currently plans to release the schedule on Tuesday, April 22.

The unveiling of the schedule could be shifted to Wednesday, April 23 or Thursday, April 24. For now, though, the plan is to pull the sheet off the 256-game slate on Tuesday.

The schedule will likely be revealed on prime time on NFL Network and ESPN.

This year's schedule will be anything but easy for the Denver Broncos, who will face eight of the nine winningest teams from 2013. Below is a look at all of the teams Denver will face this fall:

Denver Broncos 2014 Opponents
Home Away
Kansas City Chiefs (11-5)
Oakland Raiders (4-12)
San Diego Chargers (9-7)
Buffalo Bills (6-10)
Miami Dolphins (8-8)
Arizona Cardinals (10-6)
San Francisco 49ers (12-4)
Indianapolis Colts (11-5)
Kansas City Chiefs (11-5)
Oakland Raiders (4-12)
San Diego Chargers (9-7)
New England Patriots (12-4)
New York Jets (8-8)
St. Louis Rams (7-9)
Seattle Seahawks (13-3)
Cincinnati Bengals (11-5)
Denver's 2014 preseason schedule was announced earlier this month:

All times Mountain
Wk Day Date Opponent Time TV
1 Aug. 7-10 SF Seattle Seahawks TBD
2 Aug. 14-18 SEA at San Francisco 49ers TBD
3 Aug. 21-24 STL Houston Texans TBD
4 Thu Aug. 28 DAL at Dallas Cowboys TBD

The Broncos' complete preseason schedule will be announced when the league reveals Denver's full schedule next week. Of note, Denver will face both the Seahawks and 49ers in preseason and regular season play.

Because Denver is ending preseason on the road, the Broncos are not expected to play in the NFL's season opener against Seattle. Denver's Super Bowl rematch with the Seahawks will come later in the season in a prime time showdown that networks will be drooling over. Our guess is that NBC's Sunday Night Football will land the contest.
