Writes GM Mad Mel: "The Browns are in need of more offensive firepower, and Sammy Watkins will provide them the perfect complement to WR Josh Gordon as well as TE Jordan Cameron. Watkins has exceptional speed, has big-time playmaking ability, and is a very good hands-catcher.
"Teddy Bridgewater was a bit too high for me at this pick, and there will be other QB prospects for the Browns in the 1st and 2nd rounds. I also considered Robinson as a RT here, but feel that Watkins would be more of a difference-maker, as the Browns would suddenly have an explosive passing game for the first time since.. whenever?!?"
