Broncos have agreed to terms with 15 undrafted FAs. That means team will have to release 2 players by Monday to reach 90 roster limit.

So who's on the chopping block? The Broncos had four RB's on the active roster before signing three more as UDFA. Low man on the totem pole would be futures sign-ee Jerodis Williams.
Two names long associated with being cut are veteran TE's Joel Dreessen and Jacob Tamme. Dreessen is your better all-around TE who can catch and block, but was hampered with injuries for the past year. Tamme has always been a sort of safety net for Peyton Manning, even showing the versatility to man the slot, but his role is significantly diminished with the emergence of Julius Thomas and the likelihood that Denver will now keep 5 WR (they kept 4 last season).
Other than that, it's hard to tell. At the current moment, here is the breakdown of the current roster:
QB |
4 |
RB |
7 |
WR |
11 |
TE |
7 |
OT |
8 |
G/C |
7* |
DL |
15 |
LB |
12 |
DB |
17 |
ST |
4 |
Total |
92 |
By shear numbers, it would appear as if the Broncos could afford to cut someone from the defensive backfield. To that end you have futures players Josh Boyett and Eric Hagg (safeties) to go along with corners Charles Mitchell and Jerome Murphy.
My guess is that one of the veteran TE's gets the axe (which will also add about 2.5-3.0 million to the salary cap) along with one of the former futures players.
Who do you think the Broncos will cut?
