Aqib Talib was not arrested in Dallas Sunday, contrary to numerous reports. In fact, it was his brother Yaqub, the Dallas police department eventually confirmed.
The confusion began when the Dallas police department initially reported that they were holding Aqib in Dallas.
ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio engaged Talib's agent and found those reports to be untrue.
Per agent Todd France, Aqib Talib was NOT arrested in Dallas today. Aqib says it was his brother, Yaqub Talib.

If the Dallas Police Department claims to currently have Aqib Talib in custody, it's not him. Unless they're letting him use his cell phone.

The Broncos have since confirmed PFT's report. It wasn't Aqib.
Just spoke w/Aqib Talib, who is at home. Confirmed that contrary to a DPD report, he was not involved in any legal matter last night.

And Dallas PD has now retracted its report and apologized to Aqib Talib.
#BREAKING CORRECTION - Yaqub Talib 31yrs old was arrested. My apologies to Aqib Talib. Original information reported was incorrect.

Not that that will make much difference in a potential lawsuit. It's amazing how much damage a false report like this - from the source, the police department - can do to a person, even in five minutes' time. We offer our apologies for initially extending this reports to all of you as well.
