Broncos defensive end Greg Latta has missed most of training camp with a hip injury he suffered early on. Now it looks like his season in orange and blue is over.
The Broncos designated Latta waived/injured, the team announced. If Latta clears waivers he will be placed on Denver's Injured Reserve list.
Latta (6'5", 260 lbs.) was signed by the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue University in May. He played two seasons for the Boilermakers after first taking up football at College of the Desert in Palm Desert, Calif.
Latta signed a three-year deal with the Broncos, meaning he can give it another go in the orange and blue next year, assuming he hits I/R. Best of luck to Latta.
