With Denver Broncos starting kicker Matt Prater suspended for the first four games of the NFL season the Denver Broncos acquired kicker Brandon McManus from the New York Giants. We all got to see McManus for the first time in a Denver Broncos uniform tonight, and he had a mixed performance.

Must Reads
The good
- McManus showed off his strong leg during kick offs. He had a total of five touchbacks during tonights game. The ball often sailed passed the end zone. One can imagine how far it would go in Denver.
- McManus made both of his field goal attempts that were under 40 yards, a 19-yarder then a 39-yarder to close the game.
The bad
McManus' long field goal attempts missed. They weren't exactly gimme's, but you hope your kicker in the NFL can make one of two from beyond 50 yards.
- The first was a 52-yard attempt that sailed wide
leftright. - The second was from 54 yards and also missed wide right.
McManus finished the night two for four(50%), and finished his preseason four for six(67%).
Here's what Head Coach John Fox had to say about McManus's performance.
Fox on McManus on KOA "we're going to meet as a staff ...those two (misses) aren't exactly automatics...thought he did pretty good''

Now I ask you guys this question. After tonight's performance do you want to keep Brandon McManus, or look to add another kicker after final cuts are made?
Go Broncos!
