At noon EST today, the Denver Broncos were allowed to start building a practice squad of up to 10 players. In years past the limit was eight players, but recently the NFL changed that rule and made it 10 players, which opened up 320 jobs around the NFL.
Here is your 2014 Denver Broncos Practice Squad players.
Position | Player | Experience |
Linebacker/Defensive End | Shaquil Barrett | Rookie |
Receiver | Nathan Palmer | 2nd |
Running Back | Kapri Bibbs | Rookie |
Safety | John Boyett | 1st |
Center | Matt Paradis | Rookie |
Guard | Vinston Painter | 2nd |
Tight End | Gerell Robinson | 1st |
Quarterback | Zac Dysert | 2nd |
Wide Receiver | Bennie Fowler | Rookie |
Defensive End | Zach Thompson | Rookie |
More on the players:
Shaquil Barrett: Barrett is an undrafted rookie defensive end/linebacker who can rush the passer. He did finish the preseason strong but the numbers game kept him off the Broncos final 53 man roster. If one of the Broncos pass rushers miss sometime during the season look for Barrett get a spot on the roster.
Nathan Palmer: Palmer is a third year receiver who had a decent showing during camp. The former undrafted free agent will add depth to the Broncos already deep wide receiver position.
Beautiful day in Denver glad to still be here

Kapri Bibbs: The undrafted rookie running back was a favorite amongst many Broncos fans during the preseason. Bibbs finished the preseason strong with a two touchdown performance against the Dallas Cowboys. Bibbs is one injury away from the Broncos 53 man roster. I'm glad he made it through waivers.
Still a bronco god has a plan for everything putting it all in his hands ! http://t.co/V8ePhZJlIN

John Boyett: Boyett is a second year safety who showed some promise during training camp and the preseason. With the Broncos waiving Duke Ihenacho, Boyett will be the Broncos fifth safety in a sense.
Matt Paradis: The Boise State alum I thought had a solid summer with the Broncos. He does need some work on his technique, and he'll get that work with the Broncos coaches this year. Paradis will have a chance to push for a starting job in 2015.
Vinston Painter: Painter showed some improvements this summer, but not enough to make the final 53 man roster. The practice squad will be good for him to work on his technique. Painter was a very raw prospect coming out of college, and this is the practice he needs.
Gerell Robinson: Robinson is making the move from wide receiver to tight end, and has been looking good thus far. Robinson did suffer an injury against the 49ers which kept him out of the lineup for the final two preseason games. He was a tough decision for coaches to make as he was one of the last players to find out about his release. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Robinson on the field for some games in 2014.
Zac Dysert: The Broncos decided to bring back their former seventh round pick Zac Dysert back to the team. This isn't a huge surprise to me. I figured if he cleared waivers they would bring him back. I like this move for the Broncos. They get to keep their guy, and it clears a roster spot for someone else on the 53 man roster. Good move John Elway!
Bennie Fowler: Fowler is a rookie receiver who saw extensive playing time this preseason with the second and third teams Fowler and Nathan Palmer are added depth to the Broncos already deep wide receiver position.
Go Broncos!
