The Broncos completed their 10-man practice squad, signing DE Zach Thompson, the team announced Monday.
Thompson (6-5, 265 pounds) is a rookie from Wake Forest University who spent the preseason with the New York Jets after signing with the club as a college free agent on May 11.
He played 44 games (40 starts) for the Demon Deacons and totaled 151 tackles (73 solo), 11 sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery during his collegiate career.
He played in three games in the preseason for the Jets, tallying no stats (tackles, sacks, etc.). According to Pro Football Focus, he played in 59 snaps and registered one QB hit and two QB hurries.
