The Denver Broncos announced their 2014 team captains Monday, with two new, nasty names on the defensive side.
Broncos selected their team captains today: Manning, D. Thomas, Knighton, Ware, Bruton.

Quarterback Peyton Manning and safety David Bruton resume their roles as captains from a year ago, while Demaryius Thomas, DeMarcus Ware, and Terrance Knighton are newly minted captains in 2014. Last year, Ryan Clady, Wesley Woodyard, and Champ Bailey served those respective roles.
John Fox also mentioned that there will be one rotating captain each week, just as in 2013.
.@MrKnighton2u voted a team captain is no surprise. He's been the leader of the #Broncos defense since midway last year. Congrats!

I'm most pleased with the election of Knighton as team captain. He brings a nasty element that this defense needs. John Elway talked about this defensive shift on Saturday.
"I do think that there's a different mentality with some of the guys that we have that are starters," said Elway. "There's a different mentality on the defensive side and I think they’re going to take it upon themselves, as I said earlier, to create their own identity."
