This was Wednesday:

Despite public support from NFL owners like Robert Kraft and John Mara in the past 24 hours, it's hard to imagine Roger Goodell survives this. Whether it's through deceit or willful ignorance or ineptitude, his disciplinary processes have failed.
Either Googdell steps down or an independent arbitrator must be brought in for all NFL disciplinary matters. And maybe both.
"Protect the shield" has lost its meaning.
