Broncos Country holding strong in Seattle

Although I am from Colorado and live in California, I am proud to say that I am a member of the Broncos Fans in Seattle facebook group. You see, my wife's family lives up there and they're all Seahawks fans. After the Super Bowl loss, I got to relive it with them at every turn. It was awful. I am happy to say that Broncos fans in Seattle have weathered the loss and view Sunday's rematch with excited optimism. It's one thing to root on your team when it's easy, but quite another when you're in enemy territory and it's hard. Here's a taste of what it's like to be a Broncos fan in Seattle.

Denver's Fox 31 and sister station KDRV Channel 2 have been broadcasting all week from various locations throughout Seattle in preparation for Sunday's game. It's clear in this news report that these fans are more than cheering for a win. They - like the rest of us - need it.

Mind you these fans weren't at the bar for a game, they gathered because the reporter Chris Jose contacted the Broncos Fans in Seattle group and asked them to.

So... How many Broncos fans can you get to gather at a bar in Seattle on a random Wednesday afternoon? Looks like a pretty good turnout considering. Here is another of the reports that Chris Jose filed from Seattle. You have to admit, it's pretty impressive.

Chris even did an face-to-face with local Seattle station and, from the looks of it didn't mince words about who he was rooting for.

Apparently someone in Seattle wasn't too excited about a Denver reporter sniffing around the stadium and something happened. In this report, Chris talks about how one of their cables used to broadcast was cut... or broke.

Broncos Country, meet Shane Kreuger (and his two dogs). The Denver Broncos website and the Denver Post did a writeup on his fanaticism in Washington. He is also the subject of this commercial that will air this Sunday leading up to the game. Best line: "What is a Seahawk anyways?"

The man who helped find Shane, Jon Humpert, is also a Broncos fan... Living in Seattle. He is a local Seattle reporter for KOMO News 4 and he too takes the brunt of excessive Seahawks pride.

Here is his interview with David Johnson, the man who runs the Broncos Fans in Seattle Facebook group.

So there's a taste of what it's like to be a Broncos fan in Seattle post-Super Bowl.

It ain't pretty, but they don't let that deter them. We'll certainly be thinking of them this Sunday as they do their best proudly rep the orange and blue.

If you're a Broncos fan in the great northwest and want to Unite in Orange with other fans check out this meetup group and join their facebook page. There are nearly 650 members who are waiting to meet you.

Go Broncos!
