Peyton Manning retiring? Broncos quarterback noncommital on returning for 2015

A few weeks after saying he would return for the 2015 season, Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning was noncommital on returning after the Broncos' playoff loss to the Colts.

A brutal postseason loss takes a lot out of you. For Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, it may have taken out his will to go through the grind of another NFL season.

"I can't answer every what-if situation."-Peyton Manning

According to the Denver Post, Manning couldn't commit to coming back to Dave Logan of 850 KOA after the Broncos lost 23-14 to the Colts Sunday.

"That's kind of what I've said all along," Manning said of coming back for 2015, referring to his pre-Christmas statements saying he would come back. "But I can't answer every what-if circumstance. What if you're not as healthy? What if certain coaches leave? I can't answer every what-if situation. I think I'll have to take some time to see how I feel, see how I feel physically."

There are a number of What-If's for the Broncos entering 2015. What if Peyton Manning can't get fully healthy? What if John Fox is fired? What if Adam Gase leaves for a head coaching gig? What if the Broncos ask Peyton to take a pay cut?

Then, Manning was asked to give a firm "I am coming back." Manning replied, "I could not say that."
