Horse Tracks: Gary Kubiak to interview for the Broncos job today

Good morning Broncos Country!

Could the Denver Broncos hire their new coach today?

Baltimore Ravens Offensive Coordinator Gary Kubiak is expected to be Denver today to interview for the Denver Broncos Head Coaching position. Kubiak is considered the favorite for the job, and his relationship with Denver Broncos General Manager John Elway is one of the big reasons why.

Former Denver Broncos Quarterback Jake Plummers thinks Kubiak is the right guy for the Denver Broncos job.

"Those guys have spent countless hours together on bus rides, plane trips, dorm rooms in training camp. I don't see how it couldn't work. I think for the future of that organization, Kube is the guy."

Mike Klis of the Denver post believes the Broncos will have to make a decision on Kubiak before Tuesday. On Tuesday the Baltimore Ravens coaching staff is heading to Arizona to coach the AFC in the Pro Bowl. That leaves the Broncos with a short period of time to bring Kubiak aboard.

Head Coaching candidates Teryl Austin, and Doug Marrone both canceled their Head Coaching visits to Denver, and the Broncos haven't scheduled any other coaching visits so it appears Kubiak to Denver is imminent.

Kubiak's coordinators appear to be picked out as well. Rick Dennison who has been with Kubiak for years is expected to come back to Denver to be Kubiak's Offensive Coordinator, and Vance Joseph is considered the favorite for the Defensive Coordinator.

It appears the Denver Broncos Head Coaching search is near its end, their next big question will be the status of their Future Hall Of Fame Quarterback Peyton Manning.
