As someone how wants to see the Carolina Panthers travel to face to the Seattle Seahawks, I'm going to have to root for the Dallas Cowboys hard today over the Detroit Lions. It makes it easier knowing how badly Matthew Stafford is when facing teams with winning records. In fact, he is 0-17 on the road against teams with winning records throughout his career.
All streaks can come to end, however, and if today is the day that streak ends he will need to play very well and rely on his stout defense to shut down the Cowboys rushing attack.
The 2014 Cowboys are all about DeMarco Murray and that incredible Cowboys rushing attack. Tony Romo has been absolutely stellar this season, because its no longer on him to carry his team to victory. He can hand off the rock and pick up yards on third down. In the red zone, he keys in on Dez Bryant who led the lead in touchdowns.
This offense is absolutely impressive and reminds me a lot of the Terrell Davis years in 1996-1998. John Elway never had to do more than pick up third downs and get the ball into the end zone. In fact, out of all of the Wild Card teams this one could be the most dangerous one in the league. Not bad for a team I ranked 26th best in the NFL this preseason.
Prediction: Cowboys 24, Lions 20.
What is your prediction, Broncos Country?
