Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak was asked Monday if he was enjoying the Broncos' 5-0 start. It's a fair question - a fair number of Broncos fans and media are focusing on Denver's offensive struggles and not spending near equal amounts of time on the Broncos' record-setting defense. So are you happy to be 5-0, Kubes?
"You're damn right I am," Kubiak said.
"I’ve been doing this a long time," continued Kubiak. "I think in coaching that you’re always searching for perfection and obviously we’re far from it. We have some tremendous things going on defensively and we’re battling offensively right now."
"The fact that the Broncos are undefeated and they're winning games because it's truly a team sport, and they're winning it because Peyton Manning is not Superman - that's good. You want that," emphasized Mike Pritchard on Mile High Sports' The Afternoon Drive Monday. "You want this team to be a solid team. To be more complete by just being consistent on offense, and I think that's going to go a lot further than Manning throwing 55 touchdowns in a year."
"They're playing great team football, and people should be happy about that."
