The Denver Broncos come into this game with a depleted offensive line. So much so, that we might see Tyler Polumbus see significant playing time and he was just signed off the street on Thursday. I'm sure that will do wonders for this struggling unit, but all they need to do is keep Peyton Manning from being destroyed back there.
The Minnesota Vikings feature a fairly ferocious pass rush of their own, but they lack the cohesion of the more experience Broncos unit and it shows in their inability to stop the big play for an entire sixty minutes. The Broncos defense on the other hand can control the entire game and, in fact, determine its outcome. The Broncos are 3-0 because of their defense.
Still, the deciding factor in this game will likely come down to whether or not Manning can string together two or three scoring drives. I think the wily old veteran will do exactly that, while Teddy Bridgewater and Adrian Peterson are held in check throughout the game and the Vikings will experience another embarrassing road defeat. Make no mistake, however, they are definitely on the rise in the NFL. That defense looks like it has a lot of potential.
Prediction: Broncos 23, Vikings 3.
