Horse Tracks: Down go the Vikings

New, comments

A win is a win, but that was close! The defense dominated and the offense struggled, but the Broncos edged the Vikings Sunday to remain unbeaten.

I couldn't agree more. When was the last time Broncos fans were more excited to see the defense than the offense? 1977? Defensive coordinator Wade Phillips has the defense ringing up sacks and turnovers like a pinball machine this year. It's almost too much fun to watch.

The offense, on the other hand... It's getting better. It looks like the offensive line play has improved. The running game is showing sparks of life. Who would have thought that after his fumbling issues a few years ago that Broncos fans would be championing running back Ronnie Hillman? Not me, that's for sure.

Clearly, I was wrong. My humble apologies, Ronnie.
